No Longer Turn to Blue

by Shyla   Mar 3, 2008

The pavement shines as he pulls into the drive. Dark car, dark night. My hand lay pressed against the window as I await the knock from his fist. It has been so long since I can remember smiling so much. I hear the door slam, his feet tapping the steps as he slowly creeps closer to the door. And then the knock. I turn to see him standing, not looking at me but in me. My soul resides within my body and mind, no one has been able to brake me in that way. I can not love, without first understanding why he is here. He takes my hand in his. I belong to no one and he is free. Brown eyes that have turned to blue so many times now gaze into stone green pools that for so long shared the very same colour. No understanding is needed at the moment when our eyes meet. That moment has forever kept these brown eyes of mine clear of blue, only gold shines brightly through. He is here I know to make sure that I am all that I can be. Freedom is not free, but nether dose it come at a price. You can not be free alone, there must be someone beside you, to hold and guide your dreams until they grown. The green eyes have come to me, they are not mine, but will forever run wild and free along side me.
