Songbirds

by My Mistakes   Mar 6, 2008

Snowflakes glisten
as the sun shines down
the wind blows cold
and the song birds frown

winter is here
and summer is gone
the songbirds are silent
all winter long

they wait for summer
so they can sing lovely songs
they wait for summer
all winter long

springtime comes
and they peek from their nests
they still wait for summer
summer is best

finally summer is here
and the birds sing their songs
they have waited for summer
all winter long
