What now?

Go right ahead
Skip further then I can
Run faster then I can

Pretend your heart is black
That your soul is empty and cold

Everything has fallen down
Our seems are torn to shreds

Pretend your emotions have faded
Along with your dreams of a urban future

Act this way, all you want
But darling I ask you to soften your walls soon
Don't dress up and play tough,
we all know you are not

Let your wings spread, stop being afraid of something big.
Fly home, but it just may be your funeral
Your time has passed ; you're too late

You ask yourself, "what now?"
You know that I have melted down to nothing but a puddle,
the winter was long and I waited by the fire, like you asked.

But where to now.
A lifetime full of dull feeling and harsh regret.
Like they always told you, 'you can't turn back time'

Suddenly you awake from a nightmare
Dripping of sweat; a puddle beneath you.
You ask yourself, "What now?"
