Lost Innocence

by Was cut by a knife that said love   Mar 7, 2008

At a certain point, a certain time
You lose your innocence
I was thirteen when I lost mine

The sweet little girl everyone knew and had
Has dissappeared without a trace
And now a teenager gone bad

Smoking used to be sickening, and alcohol bad for you
Cutting used to be crazy
But these are things i do

Back talking was out of the question
Not doing my work was never thought of
And I never thought I would go into depression

Skipping class was to risky
Black was an evil color
My eyes werent supposed to be misty

Sex was more joke than thought
Making out was gross
And everything i had i bought

Tattoos were painful looking
Cheating was just wrong
And a knife was used only for cooking

I used to be innocent dont get me wrong
But you soon come to a point where you just dont care
Because you have to live your life for it is to short to be long
