11:11

by Meet Me On Thames Street   Mar 8, 2008

You hold out your heart
ripped from your chest
my lips whisper "no"
while my soul screams "yes"

I pray to the heavens
make that wish, 11:11

I shiver silently
with unknown fear
unbidden my eyes
flood with tears

I pray to the heavens
make that wish, 11:11

For the first time,
my words can do the breaking
yet why do I wish
my heart was yours for the taking

I pray to the heavens
make that wish, 11:11

I've got to think quick
make up my mind
and I secretly hope
I don't run out of time

I pray to the heavens
make that wish, 11:11

I don't want to save myself
just you, from me
yet unlike yours
my heart still beats

I pray to the heavens
make that wish, 11:11

hoping these frozen lips
can't shatter your fragile soul
and this runaway mind
will somehow make you whole

I pray to the heavens
make this one last wish

11:11

    lol.
you are one hell of a rhymer, it's ridiculous.
it takes me ages to rhyme and here you are with like a gorgeous rythm and beat...
