Death By Epiphany

by Aage Crow   Mar 9, 2008

You can strike me down and spit my name
Anyone can take a knife a brutally maim
For this heartless body has no hope
And this horrid soul can never cope
Because I love to suffer and I love the hurt
Of dealing with people who throw me into dirt
I love to curse their souls and torture their heart
As they rip this body so viciously apart
Strike me now and face nothing but terror
To find you're ugly the next day in the mirror
You'll find in your dream your terrible epiphany
And in that moment you'll die oh the irony
To find what you need to change and still fade from light
And to know that I'll be laughing in the dead of night
If only you'd been less selfless, longing and vengeful
Or knew how to hold your tongue and keep in the mouthful
Of words you didn't ever "mean" to say
But now you're in hell and its too late to pray
Sorry you're life had to end this way
Still its not like you didn't have a chance to escape
When I begged you to stop hurting and beating on me
And now that you're dead you finally see
Why I smiled as I coughed up a pool of blood
If only you knew I'd drown you in the flood
The crimson rivers you kicked out of my lung
Laughing as you realize its the dead you lie among
Torture my soul and attempt to kill me
So that I can kill you in your next epiphany
