To: Bill, undeserving of the title 'Dad'

As I stare into the mirror's eyes
I see myself and with me your lies
I see the destruction you sowed
the pain with remembrances that ask how

Within myself I see your failures
those drink-soaked days
those pain-filled days
those days which you fail to remember

My brothers and I drown in our tears
You drown in your wine, that bottle so dear
Days go on but the memories never falter
The memories you create can never be altered

Those broken promises, neglected pinky swears
shatter the bonds that join us
annihilate the love that binds us
leaving you with results that steal your air

Your family comes in second place, far behind
No consolation prize for us except the tears we cried
No love from our father, instead we're gifted...
Gifted with the lies that you lied...

Sounds like you were writing about true love. These lines got me thinking of a broken heart, something like I kinda feel right now. 5/5 It's great.
