I guess you forgot about meeting me today.
I guess you figured I'd be okay, but that's not all,
I had to see you walk away.

you said it'll be okay.
But my tears haven't dried,
and my problems don't seem to go away.
I called out your name, but I don't think you heard me.
I reached for your hand but you have driven farther away.

So did you forget?
*this poem is about people promising me forever and a day but they always seem to fall short. And I'm asking them did they forget the promise they made, and I'm just reminding them again.
