Death from afar

by David Ensor   Mar 10, 2008

I often wonder what it would be like to die
and from my place in the other world
sit and watch the people i know
watch them deal with my departure in the ways they would
to watch them scurry like jackals
to lay claim to my belongings
and speak of me as honestly as they truly think of me now
but are too afraid to articulate
i wonder who would be most effected
and who would take that moment
as an opportunity for personal gain
as a man, i would like to think
every woman i knew would mourn my passing
and long for just one more moment of my company
every man would reflect on the good times
and say "he was a good man, a mans man"
but i know better, i know people
i know i would sit and watch in amazement
as they all moved on in the blink of an eye
and i would be reduced to " hey remember that guy"
and this is why i refuse to die...

WOW I just loved the truth behind this because that always happens. Thats why you do all you can in your life ... fight for your dreams .. never back down... stand up for all you believe in .. live everyday like you last so that you are satisfied and did everything you could with the time you had. Well done *5/5*
