Tears of a Broken Angel

by Krissymkitty   Mar 11, 2008

In spite of her broken wings and bruised body she moved
Along the cracked stone trying to find an escape
Beneath her the ground grew colder and colder
Accepting failure and expecting death she sat
Behind her little bed the only comfort they gave her
Upon her chest lay a locket which she opened
Inside lie a picture, one of her true love
Against her cheek a tear began to fall
Along with more pain and sorrow
Outside, in a casket, her true love lies unmoving
In the cold hard ground
As she cried her heart and soul died
Because she will be soulless forever
And forever he will be gone
