This is an amazing poem. LOL. am a parent of 2 teenage girls...and we have a good relationship. But this poem is an eyeopener to me..and has made me think.Parents DO 4get what it is like sumtimes to be a teenager, ur emotions and experiences in those years...and how you just want sumone to UNDERSTAND..not UNDERMINE!! as im admitting us parents can do.We can hurt without us thinking, or knowing, lol. I will take greater care..now i have read this poem.THANKU SO MUCH for a GREAT write, a very heartfelt, enlighting write, that has spoken to me. 5/5

I don't have time to comment this fully, but I loved this.

"They think your life's as simple as deciding black or white,
Not knowing it's the grays between that keep you up at night."

    Perfect couplet. Well done :)

This was a great piece (as I'm sure you've gathered by now). The words and rhymes are both pretty simple, but I think the reason it's so good how genuine and true to life it was. People could relate. Plus, there was a good tempo to it.

My favorite stanza has to be the second one, if only for the last line. And, I very much liked that rhyme of 'advice' and 'suffice'. 'Suffice' is a good word that doesn't get used too often.

P.S. I can see you don't really come here anymore (me neither until the other day) but please vote and comment honestly on all the poems you read.

Omg I feel for you. My parents arny like that but your words really put an image in my head to what it would be like if my life was yours. Great poem. And maybe you should talk to your parents tell them exactly how you feel. Maybe even show them this poem you wrote sometimes people just need you to spell it out for them if you know what I mean. Good luck :)
