Without a Moon

by Sarah   May 21, 2004

Days go by and still the sun won't shine
Been years since I've seen a rainbow,
Wear my shoes and wear my clothes,
Give me your smile to borrow.

I'd give anything just to ease the pain,
My once blue skies have been replaced with rain,
The ocean storms with churning waves,
This uncontrollable fire cannot be tamed.
Burning with anger, fury and hate,
The pain is something that I cannot take.
I can only now, stand by with an aching heart,
As this depression tears me apart.

Lying down with knife in hand,
The sky is black without a moon.
Strike it through this chest of mine,
You may say i died too soon.
