Until I See You Smiling

by brie kelly wise   Mar 15, 2008

When you sat next to me
Oh I couldn't breathe
As you talked about her
How it's over, you lost her
And I thought, you need me

When you tell everything to me
Oh my heart skips a million beats
As you cried over her
Wondering what you did to her
Well I want you and you need me

It hurts that you can't even see
That I'm not just crying for you
I'm crying because you won't understand me
It kills me that you blame yourself for everything
And believe me, I'm not just crying for you
I'm crying because you won't hear me
You wouldn't be crying if you had me
And why can't you just listen to me?
You don't even know when you ask why I'm crying
Maybe I wouldn't if you had me
And I know that right now you need me

I lose every tear on the ground
I would've died if you weren't around
And because of you I didn't drown
But your tears turned me upside down

As I found myself in the rain
I thought I threw myself down the drain
But your hands around my waist
Shows not everyone causes pain

As I found my way to your lips
And you drifted your weight to my hips
I thought of my past and it hit
That you never doubted me one bit

A little bit of pain, a little bit of fear
But I know you, and you would never tear
What I gave you all these years

When you gave your heart to me
Oh you made sure I could breathe
As I told you how to forget about her
How it's not over, it's not all about her
You told me how much you wanted me
