Out Of Time

by Bondage   Mar 17, 2008

You were the laughter in her voice
and the sparkle in her eyes
You were the stars that filled her sky
and the reason she felt alive.

You were her adrenaline;
Your love gave her a rush
You were her addiction
She still cant get enough.

But the laughter cant be heard
& her sparkling eyes lost their shine

The stars began to fade
& her love ran out of time

Now lying in her bed
Alone & staring at the ceiling,

She's trying to figure out
How she lost the feeling.

    For me, this is definantly a successful poem. You say so much without going into too much detail, which creates a better environment for the reader to relate to. You do a great job with imagery to create this picture in my mind of a lonely girl at a loss. A great poem, and please make the effort to keep writing more.
