A nights mystery

by Andrew   Mar 18, 2008

Tick!! Tock!!, sounded my steps, in the moon lit night down the city streets. Alone and sacred big steps i weared, i felt as if i was being followed. A cold chill ran down my spine, a heartbeat enraged, my knees trembling and with one swift motion i turned to catch the sight. Our face met, the ugliest my eyes i ever set. It stopped as we stared for sometime, clasping tightly against the street walls. A burst of adrenalin filled my body, walking faster and faster as my tiny legs could carry me, deep inside getting sacred and sacred. Short steps turned big and finally came short runs. Glances i stole but everytime it came nearer and nearer. Running wildly, screaming at the top of my voice i wondered the city streets hoping somebody could come to my aid. From the blue came a light, a sigh or relief, i felt inside, i had mistaken it for a blessing from above, uncontrolably i ran towards it, my life was out of control. With one loud bang, the lights turned brighter, a car ran me over and left me at the blink of death, a hushed breath, a gentle tear, my heartbeat slowly fading, the light getting dimmer and dimmer as my eyes slowly shut, forever, never to be opened again.

I really liked this. Very discriptive and a real sense of urgency. I like the mysterious way you've written it. It never actually tells you what he's running for. You just know it's bad. 5/5
