Arriving Nowhere

I never thought this place would be my grave...

I live in a wintry madness, trapped inside a weary rain
bright eyes watch as the shadows
dance upon the empty walls, in sorrow.
there is no end to this dismay,
our questions and answers remain divided.
a hard skin keeps its love, no one shall me invited to this lover's dance.

desire grows a withered rose, and remains hungry.

shreds of lightning sway upon the clouds
and I am losing strength to continue.
would you be my answer?
no, our wish is denied once more.
for shades of gray leaves us crushed and calloused
within another spectrum, haunting misery.
we all thought I was coming home again-
how foolish the young can be.
distance plays its games and sings its songs,
taunting our hollow bones
it is only a matter of time until shadows will surmount us all.

I run and I run, arriving nowhere but at the threshold of former disasters.
the rain beats its mourning into sunshine now destroyed,
and hallowed gloom becomes my light.

what happens to love when true lovers fail?
what becomes of light when all the shadows prevail?
only you can set my heartache free,
yet distance takes its time,
and all time now falls away
graveyard mist reigns over me, and we are sheltered inside nowhere.

lovers search for love no longer found,
and lonely hearts die.
we leave behind a withered rose, dreaming of dreams long forgotten.

    Again good word choice...

    Wow...
    I admire your writing skills. You left me in awe with this piece and I am truly speechless in a way.
    There are only a few of poets that can convey such beauty and sorrow within their poems. Fantastic first stanza pulled me in and the whole poem took me to another world, a world filled with deeply touching emotions. I can relate to this piece in a way which makes it even more powerful for me. Every stanza holds amazing details which took my breath away.
    I have only two suggestions: I think that you should capitalize letters in the beginnings of some lines; in the line " and we are sheltered inside nowhere" I think it should be "and we are sheltered inside OF nowhere".
    Overall, this piece is brilliantly written. I can't pick my favorite part because there are too many flawless lines.
    Keep writing and I'll keep reading your remarkable work!

    Dear, why so sad? don't loose hope. It is so miserable to read, but i really like the last 2 stanzas, they are my favorite. i wrote a response poem for your last line.
