Sometimes he can almost forget that his heart is broken and torn
Sometimes he can almost forget that all his scars are self inflicted
Sometimes he can almost forget the nightmares that haunt him

Sometimes he can almost forget that he cries himself to sleep
Sometimes he can almost forget the promises he has broken
Sometimes he can almost forget about the darkness in him

Sometimes he can almost forget about you
Sometimes he can almost forget the pain
Sometimes he can almost forget the lies

And sometimes he can almost just for a moment forget that he's really just a ghost pretending he's alive

It doesn't rhyme but I like it.
