Perfect innocent fresh

by Sarah   Mar 20, 2008

Perfect innocent fresh,
the most beautiful flower just bloomed in spring.

the wonder, temptation
swept from the ground to bathe in its beauty,
only to fade quicker
unnatural surroundings;drowning.

cut from roots the beauty deteriorates,
inside nothing pulses
cut from everything important-
except the keeper

admiring yet taking for granted
never again to be what once was;
perfect innocent fresh.
