A Childs Mental Torment

by Indian Comma Bean   Mar 20, 2008

In the glow of candle light,
As the thunder booms in the night,
A little boy sits; crying alone in fright.

His mother tends a cradle-song,
As his father simply asks whats wrong,
The boy only whimpers, as the pain prolongs.

The mother accuses the father,
As the father accuses the mother,
The boy solely says "Obviously it's Another."

Abused by his confusion,
As shadows tend to create illusion,
He quietly laughs; Lost in sweet delusion.

Oh wow i LOVE the structure. Theres not enough rhyme schemes out there that arent aabb or abcb, or mad complicated and hard to recognize or replicate. i mean this is simple but elegant. the structure is smooth and flowing. its amazing
