A Faithful Message

I'm a young man with an old mind, that's
Been through situations that don't often arise, only to the men of my kind
Harassed and beaten, spit on and kicked, but still remained tough, because
No one ever said the road to the top would not be rough

You know, that which does not kill you only makes you stronger
So please don't be afraid to reach for the moon and stars any longer
You can accomplish any goal in life if you are passionate enough to work hard, and
Don't expect results overnight, just put your trust in God, because

He will see things through, if you keep your heart positive and your mind focused
Rewards will show from your actions and not only you, but others will notice
You have the right to choose your own path, because life is made of choices
It's up to you to listen to yourself, the negative people or positive voices

Whether you call these words of wisdom or in one ear and out the other
Just remember to honor thy father and cherish thy mother, embrace thy sister and love thy brother

Fill your heart with love and not hate, your soul with joy to feel no pain, and
Those days of sunny rains are prayers being answered and hearts maintained, so
KEEP THE FAITH.
