Memories of a drunk

by Joseph K Apanian   Mar 21, 2008

All my thoughts and ideas are hunting me
With every glass of vodka and martini,
Some to tell me that I was acting wrong
And others were encouraging me to go along.

Flashing memories appear in front of my eyes
Showing my life pages full of big tough cries.
Sweet charming smiles of the ones I cared about
And peoples I shared things with no doubt.

A day like this was supposed to be a happy day
Celebrating my name with friends in a cozy way
But all I find next to me is that alcohol glass
Helping me to kill loneliness and night to pass.

Living in this country that I adore more then else
I lost my relatives, friends and maybe all the bless,
Never really thinking how hard could it be,
Oh dear glass! No one's here but you and me...
