Serenity

I close my eyes and drift away starting to think of u,
Going to a place i don't often get to.

Far from where i really am
I float into a calm quiet

A little voice inside my head
says let it go don't fight it

A tiny thin smile gradually grows onto my face
beginning to enjoy the peacefulness why let it go to wast

The smell of rain and distant sound of water drops swiftly comes to mind
Going back to the simpleness to which we all are bind

Letting the past vanish as it simply disappears
floating far away from all of it, getting rid of all my fears

The weightlessness i feel as i go deeper i start to feel my best
a tickling sweet sensation as laughter fills my chest

Surrendering to the openness giving in to what i feel
knowing that in the end nothing matters this is what is real

shedding all the layers that clutter up my soul
breathing in the beauty as i strive to become whole

starting to realize that everything has a meaning
as my conciseness struggles and slightly starts leaving

i don't know how long its been since i haven't made a peep
going to my peacefully place Ive drifted off to sleep
