Just A Sigh

by ScarredToTheBone   Mar 24, 2008

In the dark I sit and sigh,
Waiting for a secret sign
One meant for just my eyes

That will allow a sunny day
But until I know, I just sit
All alone, so confused
Until I gain and understand

I wish to smile down upon
And have plants bloom beneath my touch
But the darkness clouds those sunny days

And until the doctor says,
I keep popping those white demons
They rule my world until a time
When I no longer need to cry

I'll hold my head up high and sigh
But this time,
Waiting for the doom to fall

I'll hope I never have to lay
My eyes upon a cloudy day
But I know, deep inside
Sun will never love me much,

For her brother found me first
And his mark smothers my soul
True until the day I die.
