Once a little Secret

I wish i could go back
to those warm summer days
life seemed so right
talking to you was always my escape
we would laugh and talk about the most random of things
But than once school started it was a whole other thing
You ignored me
went on as if i wasn't real
like those summer days never happened
like they weren't real
But at night than you would talk to me
like i was some little secret
like you didn't want anyone to know
days went on and suddenly people knew
than you just left me
as if you were ashamed
ashamed you liked me
you left me behind
while people would laugh
you never stuck up for me when i needed you to.
you broke my heart into a million pieces
Than finally when i had moved on
it had taken me so long
to put all the little pieces back together
You came back expecting the same little secret that you once saw me as
But this time was different
i refused to let you play me for a fool again
i refused to let you into my heart again
i refused to let you break my heart once again
we went our separate ways
and now we have both moved on
you now with her hanging on your arm
your new little secret
the one you ignore down the halls
it wont be me again
i refuse for it to be
i will never be that little secret
i will never be that girl again
so when you walk down the halls now
or when you scroll down on your phone
if you ever come across me
just keep going
don't look at your once used to be
dint think it will ever be again
because this "little secret" has made her way out into the open
and will never be there ever again
