Surreality

by Marius Laun   Mar 26, 2008

It began and ended
So very fast,
All thats left
is memories of the past

It seems surreal
I'm stuck in this dream,
But time isn't waited
It flows like a stream

I can't escape
This state of mind,
My life keeps on going,
Though I'm left behind

The surreality is setting in
I wish I could awake,
But I'm so attached to this
Which would be for my sake?

I think I'll stay,
For a little time more,
See where my life goes
Before I close this door.

Interesting write. You created good flow from the beginning to the end and expressed your emotions nicely. I don't like rhyming too much because it seem overwhelming with such short lines but that doesn't take too much from the beauty of the poem.
