The Groan

My heart deeply yearns for the water
the water that fills me up
take me to the depths of your soul
to an obsession I've never known of

The voice in my spirit is screaming
I've got to have more of you Christ
my tears all fall so fast
come consume and posses this life

The roaring inside of this temple
it's for you who knows every ache
you've snatched me and drawn me away
at your feet, my life i will waste

Never thought I could love this much
but my heart has been filled with deep passion
my eyes have been fixed upon you
from your fabric, Oh God i was fashioned

You delight in the song of my heart
so in adoration i surrender and dance
i was made to cling to you alone
this heart locked within me pants

I fall to my face and i groan
my hands cannot help but raise
our very heartbeat's are one
and you I'll forever praise
