You are my shelter from the storm
you are the sun that holds all the warmth
you are the heart for which i seek
you are the joy of which i speak

but now you have ran away
to a place i cant go
but i think about you everyday
and wish that you were home

the storm keeps coming but no where can i hide
winter comes but there is no sun to warm my hide
your loving heart has gone away
your abundant joy has left this place

you left and left me behind
to wonder and wish that you were still mine
she gave you something that i never could
i pray and ask God to bring you back and promise to be good.

    I loved your opening stanza because it created such flawless imagery and lured me in to read more. I do think your flow was nice but there were moments where you forced some rhyming that threw the flow off a bit. I also think you used the word "left" too many times in your piece which made it bland to read. Replace those words with others ones that are not so simple so that you can capture your reader. I hope I wasn't too mean .. I really did enjoy your piece which is why I am giving it a *5/5*
