Your Place in Heaven

by David Dogert   Mar 27, 2008

Your smile
How it captures my heart
Your laugh
How it controls my soul
The way you hold me
Keeps away the loneliness
And when you say "I love you"
It makes me whole
But tomorrow should I leave this world I want to let you know

I will wait for you in heaven
I will save a place up there for you
Because no matter how much time we have together
One lifetime is just not enough with you

Day and night we spend our time together
We start to take for granted what we have
We just assume we'll be together forever
But just in case your not sure where I stand

I pledge to you I'll wait for you in heaven
And I will save a place up there for you
Because no matter how much time we have together
One lifetime is just not enough with you

And should the day that you arrive in heaven
Find that there's no room to let you in
Just remember I saved a place for you in heaven
I saved for you the place I'm standing in
