Broken Glass

by Hannah   Mar 29, 2008

A piece of broken glass lay across my heart,
Broken and torn apart.
I liked you, but now you're gone.
Dusk turned into dawn, and dawn turned into dusk.
The minutes turned into hours,
The glass the devoured you,
Tore your flesh right out,
But you were meaningless to me.
My tears turned into a salty sea.
You were not here to confort me, not one wit.
You know you did wrong, just admit.
How can you be so foolish, when I am so right?
I don't want to see your ugly sight,
Once and for all.
I don't want you to watch me while I bawl,
Like a young child deprived on that toy.
What I have left of me, you destroyed.
What matters to me, you can't have.
How can you look at me when I'm that upset?
Please don't for the mercy of all.
All you did to me is break me heart, not once, but twice.
Your soul is cold like a piece of ice.
That is because you that piece of broken glass.
I did nothing to deserve your harass.
Please walk out of my pitiful life for good,
If you think I want you back, you just misunderstood.
Please think before you hurt me the way you did.
