Where You'll sleep tonight

by SomewhereAmongThePieces   Mar 29, 2008

Breath on my neck in the middle of the night
Used to remind me that you were still there
and I would watch you sleep in peace
could I just watch you sleep in peace again?

But since you've gone away
I wonder where you'll sleep tonight
Are the clouds as soft as they say?
Does the wind sing you a lulluby?

I used to sleep with my head on your chest
My breathing almost in perfect time with yours
And there's nothing I can find that's just like that
Nothing I can buy that's just like that

But since you've gone away
I wonder where you'll sleep tonight
Do you like how the trees they sway
Underneath the starlit sky

This empty bed makes me utterly furious
I don't understand why you had to die
I'd give anything to hear you snore too loud
I'd give anything to hear you breath again

But since you've gone away
I wonder where you'll sleep tonight
If I don't cry will you possibly stay
I hope this is where you'll sleep tonight
