Whenever

by Sarah   Mar 30, 2008

Whenever someone tells her to go left, she goes right
Whenever somebody is mean, she´s polite
Whenever it is forbidden, she must do it
Whenever she speaks, her words don´t fit
Whenever she smiles, she cries inside
Whenever the truth was needed, she lied
Whenever it was meant to be quiet, she was loud
Whenever there was sunlight, she yearned for a cloud
Whenever she had to be strong, she was weak
Whenever someone looked at her, she couldn´t speak
Whenever her intellect was needed, she was confused
Whenever someone offered her help, she was afraid of being used
Whenever she was appraised, she didn´t trust
Whenever all fell down, she was robust
Whenever something was built, she wanted demolition
Whenever she was supported, she changed her position
Whenever it was summer, she wanted winter
Whenever no one was moving, she was the sprinter
Whenever it was cold, she got warm
Whenever everything was alternative, she was the norm
Whenever someone asked her why she is so different
She never knew what they really meant,
Because she just followed her heavy heart
But finally saw it has torn her apart
