Almost Immortal

by Paralyzed   Mar 31, 2008

I wanna stay home for the end of the world,
Draped in darkness,
Embracing the sky,
Or perhaps in the arms of my lover,
The moon and stars replaced by candles.

I shall wish for a smile,
Embracing my final breath,
Content to let go,
Surrounded by warmth,
Knowing I gave everything I had.

This moment,
This place,
But a second in time,
My heart,
But a faint whisper.

Death will never take all of me,
Beads of memory,
Shared strands of emotion,
Both bind me here,
To those I touch.
