Last moments

by ThomasBlackburn   Apr 1, 2008

As I walk today I feel the weight.
Of numbness I fail again, It will all soon be through.
Gather your self again, you are your only friend.
The people will only hate you.

This dies again, and again.
Failure is my friend, I'm not surprised by an end
It is inevitable and incredible.

Take a deeper breath again,
It will be okay, this is the end.
Release the despair in the air.

The last breath will feel good.
Letting it all finally go, I knew I should.
The first bit of peace I've had in a while.
On letting go, I even smile.

I sit by my bed,
I think in my head,
Why did my life last this way?
