Meeting Them

by ThomasBlackburn   Apr 1, 2008

A girl has a hope.
Wishes only he only see her.
Sometime soon.

But he's always busy at work.
And far away from home,
doesn't make the time.
Empty promises.

"I can see you this weekend!"
Shes so happy now,
Hope covers the doubt,
But shes always,
Without him.

He should see the baby.
He could've come a long time ago.
Always a "maybe" turns into a no.

Waiting has become so routine.
This weekend is coming up again.
But this time its the same scene,
Waiting alone in her room,
Let down again.

Hes now a grandfather,
Of a child in her room.
And shes now the sweet mother,
Of that sweet child named Moon.

He will soon see them,
The two most beautiful girls I know
father meeting daughter
And the baby she can show.
