This is not what I want to remember.

What is up with the world these days?
this government is crashing
this isn't the American way
and our environment is lacking

our country is at war
and gas prices are to high
what's all the fighting for?
it just doesn't seem right

the world is on the verge of Global Warming
the violence is way crazy
no one will be given a warning
and we have all become lazy

there is garbage on the streets
as well as there are gang members
and oh what the newspapers read
this is not what I want to remember.
