With Confidence

by brie kelly wise   Apr 4, 2008

I have to admit, I'm a little scared
After everyone that never cared
You're his baby girl, I'm his midnight flame
You're the one he comes home to
Yet at night, we're all the same

I couldn't close my eyes in his room
Dark and alone, call me curious and soon
I know exactly what's hiding
I'm just too shaky to move

Held up by what's inside somewhere
We would be better off if I had a map
Bloating up with shame this time
I never used to be like this

Jersey became our little ember
And she's taking it all back
It's just you and me now, love
You're beautiful and everything I ever looked for
If only I could love you with confidence
