Heaven's Kiss

by Just Sierra   Apr 4, 2008

The sun sets in a quiet town,
All light fades from God's eyes
Creatures emerge from underground
To catch glimpses of dying skies

A perfect canvas of eternal art
That will inspire beauty forever
Where the horizon meets a rounded arch
And night and day will melt together

Silence crashes over beating hearts
As rest is far but near
The light breaks into shattered parts
Until they all just disappear

In God's peaceful slumber, there is a phase
What some may call a release
For in the blackened eyes of heaven's gaze
We know only a fraction of peace

A breeze awakes the forests with ease
Like a clock made from natures routine,
A precious kiss on the back of trees,
Then a stretch from stars that gleam
