  • Okay i liked the meaning of the poem
why cant we have peace and love the way God wants us to.
but i would have made it longer it seems like it just ends like you never finshed the story you were telling. it leave the reader hanging. but other than that i love it.

So true. The word usage and flow really makes this poem. It was really short compared to most poems.. but it really told a story. 5/5

Loved it. short, but very true, i mean, what is happening to the world? why cant we have peace and love? anyway, i liked it because it had a powerful meaning in very few words.

Intresting concept but I think your just showing one part of the coin I think if you give express a solution to the problem rather then just stateing your consern this poem would hold more power in it just a thought. Plot121

I know this poem means a lot
and because this is such a broad and emotional topic
I thought you could have went a little further
    as far as emotion went
    this poem though wasn't bad
    but it wasn't your best

"Why cant there be peace and love."
    this line should be:
"Why can't there be peace and love?"

I really like this poem. You picked great topic to write about and I completely agree with the message that you portrayed. I think that you did a great job with this poem- it flows naturally and you managed to say so much within a few short stanzas which is excellent.

    Keep up!

    War and death
    drugs and meth

Is that what the world is made of?
Why cant there be peace and love.

How many men will have to die,
so we can see the world through our eye?

Still, we can't see even as they fight for us.
So many dead bodies turning to dust.

Although this poem is very original the third couplet reminds me of a Bob Dylan couplet

"All he believes is his eyes
And his eyes just tell him lies"

But you have to be a song writer to get by with starting the second half of a couplet
    Just kidding

Perhaps a poet can see with a proverbial third eye and I found your poem enlightening
