Generation Y

by X l i l T a n i X   Apr 6, 2008

Fun, loud, sociable, wild
From sex and drugs to suicide
People say why,
What has happened?

Technology, food and friends
All part of generation y and our lives
Not a day goes by when someone doesn't
Fell depressed or sad and doesn't know why

Peer pressure, fear of rejection and fear of their image
All part of a teenage life.
Fear of losing control
And not been safe.

Lack of respect, very expressive
But also aggressive,
A lot has changed since generation X.
And they can't understand why.

We want to have fun, Have freedom and be free.
They judge us and blame us.
They don't understand were different.
We like going out, having fun, been ourselves.

From the every thing's to the nothings,
The emo's, the Goths and jocks
To the little miss perfects and the poplars.
The cool people to the geeks.

Older people just think all teens are
Drunk, disrespectful, suicidal young people, who don't care about anything.
They are wrong; they are not to judge us.
They don't even know us, they don't understand us.

I really enjoyed it, but do not use conjunctions in poetry
