The Game of Life is Hide and Seek

by Rachel   Apr 6, 2008

Everyone wears a mask, all the time and in front of everyone else. The saddest thing is, no one realizes theyre wearing one.

There are hundreds of masks to choose from,
each depicting a different emotion or way in which we wish to be seen.

Some masks are beautiful, warm soft and smooth. Some masks are awful. They are disgustingly ugly, abrasive, and cold.

Often we are so blind we cannot see that we are choosing to wear such an ugly mask, and so numb we cannot feel the cold painfulness it inflicts upon us.

We should never wear masks beautiful nor ugly because they are not part of who we are. It is all an act.

When we go to church and play innocent or go to school and play cool we are wearing our masks.

We only remove them when we are alone in our rooms or talking to a close friend and that is when you can see who you truly are.

And if, when you remove your mask and do not like what you see know you’re still loved. Because even if you never reveal your true self, those who say they love you can always see you when youre hiding.
