Newly Found

by Anthony   Apr 6, 2008

Sitting here as my life unfolds,
Unbeknown to me of what it holds,
Some deep sensation I should never feel,
A truth I never thought could be so real.

Brightest hours hold only lies,
Sad, sorrowing tears fill these eyes.
Hatred, Sadness, and Anger float inside,
Though Joy, Passion, and Happiness have yet died.

So many thoughts swirl in a drunken haze,
Left me staring at nothing; an empty gaze.
Fires burn deep below this skin,
An icy chill lingers lowly within.

Joy, Passion, and Happiness still may prevail,
Only ample amount of time will tell,
What's to be in store for this soul,
Seems to be a new found goal.

Time feels as if it's engulfed in a frost,
Keeping me from everything that is lost.
The brightest days only seem to turn darker,
Feels as if the suns been scribbled out by a marker.

Eternal night hangs over this head,
Moonlight shows the path to be lead.
Towards sunrise upon the horizon of my view,
Where low and behold, stands the silhouette of you.

Moon's rays are shattered as if shot by a gun,
Paint chips fall from the newly formed sun.
Your image becomes every so clear,
Life is anew; goodbye sad, sorrowing tears.

Everything to me felt so lost,
Something in me changed; no fear of the cost.
Till that day, i saw your beautiful gaze,
Left me standing there in such a daze.

Your beauty shows from the rays above,
Whats this new feeling, a feeling of love?
There's only one thing left to do,
Follow the newly shown road to you.
