Bound

by Beautiful Chaos   Apr 7, 2008

Wandering hands,
Hungry lips,
A love that cannot,
Come to grips.

Worlds apart,
Though bound together,
Choked here,
By a moral tether.

Family hate,
For generations,
Passed down with,
No explanations.

Forbidden love,
Tainted fruit,
Torturous moments,
Of pursuit.

Sweet angels wish,
To taste the sky,
Though held here by,
The bitter lie.

They'll live with love,
Inside these chains,
Wrapped up in,
This life's remains.

An awesome poem. As usual, good word choice. This was my favorite stanza:
    "Forbidden love,
    Tainted fruit,
    Torturous moments,
    Of pursuit."

I thought the flow seemed a little off but other than that it was awesome! 5/5

First I must say this piece flowed like silk from my lips .... I tend to read aloud (people around me think I'm a little spun ... lol)

Your words are painted upon a canvas that weeps. I feel pain stream through your lines and come to rest in the ending stanza. An ending stanza that grips the reader and plunges into the heart.

    They'll live with love,
    Inside these chains,
    Wrapped up in,
    This life's remains.

What a very sad write full of so much pain and anguish. Imagery and word choices are awesome.

    Wandering hands,
    Hungry lips,
    A love that cannot,
    Come to grips

    These lines say so much.

    Family hate,
    For generations,
    Passed down with,
    No explanations

Thes lines are so heartbreaking. Things like this are passed on from generation to generation.

    Sweet angels wish,
    To taste the sky,
    Though held here by,
    The bitter lie.

How painful the thoughts of wanting to break free but being held captive. Sometimes by things we know and memories that won't let go.

    They'll live with love,
    Inside these chains,
    Wrapped up in,
    This life's remains

I really like the ending stanza.
Excellent job and a very moving piece.
    Take Care Cindy
