Mercy

by Ares   Apr 7, 2008

Tell your dad,
that things are not that bad,
in spite of,
in spite of what you've been told.

and that it all went dark,
and that I got twenty years.

but I hope you will understand,
that I could never kill a man,
so when we meet at the gates,
please show me mercy.
please show me mercy.

I know I got some explaining to do.

This is pretty good! Confident last line, the whole thing makes you think and wonder what happened--good job.
