On The Frail Wings

by Alfie   Apr 7, 2008

As the night falls , my eye reside
To the girl on the other side.
Her name sound ever so sweet
Ever so true.
Holding my guitar high,
I serenaded to you

Late at night,
I closed my eyes
I dream of you
at the scene of every sight
God told me ,
Run for cover , run and hide
For you'd be too shy
To even utter a line.

Story of Icarus ,
Recited to you,
Those wings of Vanity.
Those wings of wax.
Read out loud, On The Frail Wings Of Vanity And Wax.

I wish to fly to you on those,
Only wishing those wings weren't so frail.
Wishing those wings were real.

With a giant leap I tried
With a giant leap I glide.
Only to miss you,
By an inch.
Well maybe five

Send flying to my grave
Thoughts began to haste.
Thinking of you with every sight
yes , every scene and sight
With my eyes closed once again
And for the last time
Dreaming of you and I
Flying towards them starry skies.

May it be real,
May it be true.

One thing you should know
How much I love you.
