Reluctant Farewell

Looking back on the days gone
Wondering what I have done
To be left by you
A friend I have always been true

The days I spent with your company
Made me really happy
You are one of the friends I have treasured most
But I guess you are a friend that come and goes

Seeing you happy but with a complicated life
Wonder why you chose to set me aside
When I tried to helped you through
Everything that you wanted to do

If I may have offended you in some way
Please do not hesitate to say
I swear I will not lie nor deny
But I will nott promise that I will not cry

I guess time has altered your thoughts
And new friends you have sought
You may think that it was all child's play
But to me it was worth everyday

Sometimes I get the feeling that you just used me
To have what makes everything easy
But I dismiss that thought every time it comes to mind
But events in life will always remind

You used to call me friend
And I hoped you'll say it again
I may not be the best you had
But losing you makes me sad

But if this really is God's plan
Then I will not argue because I am just human
You were one of his best blessings
And now I will lose you because I have done sinful things

Honestly I miss you my friend
And I never wanted the friendship to end
But if that is what you wish
