For so long [lesbianism]

by she   Apr 10, 2008

For so long I hated myself, a hatred so deep, for I didn't want to be gay
For so long I hid behind shame, A shame so overwhelming, I could hardly breath, and I didn't feel I deserved it anyway.
For so long I concealed the true me beneath lies, until the lies began to suffocate me
But now I've broken free, exposed for the world to see.
Knowing well what my loved ones reactions will be, for I can already see, disgust and disappointment building beneath their eyes, but no going back now, no longer can i hide

No shame in who you are. Be you. If you try to live up to others standards you will never be happy. Be YOU....REMEMBER "IT'S NOT WHAT THEY CALL YOU, IT'S WHAT YOU ANSWER TOO" 5/5
