Fairy Tales

A life in simple times may be too much to ask for some. In life we do not let the simple things make us happy as often as they should. We all know that the littlest thing done can make the biggest difference in someone elses life. Doing things for others, respecting their wishes, and not trying to sound like a cliché but to make the world a better place to live in. At times we too often look for people to do extravagant things, but what I think we look for people to do is out of the box things. Whether it be random things throughout the day, rose petals, or just making someone smile on the account of you and your affect on that person can make someone elses day. We as a society too often look for love in all the wrong places, but after all the wrongs, there seems to always be a right place with that right person just for you. You all know what Iâm talking about. Those things that we read in fairy tale books. We call them fairy tales because the real thing can be so much better and indescribable in words. The only way to actually understand it is to be in it. Books tend to give us an impression that we sometimes apply to someone and hope that the person somehow gets these qualities and expect the impossible sometimes. We ourselves create images in our head about all the fairy tale princesses are and how we can become them. Ariel, we want her spontaneity and love for the ocean. Belle, we want her book smarts and her ability to accept everyone no matter the circumstances. In Cinderella, we want her patience with the people in our lives and know that someday the things we do will pay off. Jasmine, we want her sense of adventure. Snow White we want her love for the animals and her ability to love and house strangers. And so on and so forth. Each princess has a quality in them where we want to become them, some more than others. It just depends on our likes and interests. And then comes prince charming. Yes, there are all prince charmings out there for all of us, but we as humans have to realize that fiction is fiction and humans are humans. Women love a person more if they have faults, because if a person is perfect she will feel like she doesnt deserve him or anything. From these fairy tales we perceive a knight in shining armor on a white horse coming to rescue us from our deepest fears and from danger. But, in every way, romances in and of itself are its own fairy tale, just with different characters and other things without a pumpkin carriage, ball gowns, beasts, flying carpets, genies, glass slippers and a prince. We all are living our own fairy tale in our relationships. Everyone and everything has a purpose, and our job is to understand our own fairy tale to make sure we can create our very own happy ending.
