A flood of tears

As I lay down on this beach,
soaked in salty water covered with sand...
I revoke an old memory & revive a sweet melody
Of an oath you once made
In your own words, you said:
''Even though our song has ended,our melody still plays..
Even though we're not who we use to be, our love is our safe shore that will bring you back to me''
remember this oath
remember this promise
As I let go to the forces of darkness

She had to go
She had to leave...
You broke me when you set me free
A vow I made that I'll always be...
But this I never promised thee,
I'll drown myself in misery
Flood myself in tears...

    This poem was good. i really liked it
    the use of the quote really added a lot to the poem and i loved the whole second part

    something about the rhyme and flow of it was just great
