Watcher of all Things

by jess   Apr 12, 2008

White lilies they did sing
though their voices would not ring
for the glowing dawn did bring
to the lilies, not a thing

so the lilies out they cried
till the moon had risen high
golden heavens of the sky they said
t'is most unfair to lie

please take back your goodbye
please bring to us our lonely only eye

the greenery concurred
to the battle that incurred
and with it came the birds they said
the heavens will be stirred

as one they all did sing
mountains moved as they did ring
next glowing dawn must bring
back our watcher of all things

the heavens 'gan to break
this game boasted quite the take
they knew well of their mistake
and so replyed at watcher's wake

please hear our sad goodbye
please let us keep her she's too our only eye

now still as one they sing
heaven, lily, fisher king
for the holy watchful thing
now all their voices ring

for they share their lonely watcher
she loves to hear them sing
