Lonely Girl

by Miranda   Apr 13, 2008

A girl sits there, waiting
She wants someone to see her
But at the same time, she doesn't
She has been lost and alone for so long
That she doesn't know if she could handle being normal
The loneliness claws at her heart, at her very soul
She knows she has no one,
No one to wipe the tears streaking her face
No one to hold her and tell her everything will be fine
No one to fix her battered and bloody heart
Her heart breaks at the sight of happy families
And laughing friends with nothing wrong
How could they take those simple ties for granted?

They say they are depressed, but are they really?
Do they feel like life is just not worth continuing?
Does their mind scream with the torment of living?

They say they feel fat or they don't like the way they look
But can they look in the mirror and not be ashamed?
Would they try anything, just to be happy with what they see?
Do they imagine what other people must think of them?
And just want to jump into a black hole with what they hear?

They say their family is horrible; they can't wait to move out
Do they know what it's like to lose the love of their family?
Do they know what it's like to be compared to someone else?
And find out that they are the one's that are the disappointment?
Are they tortured by the praise, the love that person is shown
While they would never hear anything but polite greetings and fake encouragement?

No one knows complete, heartbreaking loneliness
Until they are completely alone with no one to turn too
Until their hearts turn to cold, hard ice, just to be free of pain
Until they manage to completely numb their emotions
So that they can not be sad, but they can not be happy

She wants some one to help her feel again, to help her live
But no one is there, no one is coming, no one will ever help her
And no one is listening to the little girl lost in a cold, cruel world

    Rado,
This is a very deep write, the intesity of the words as I read them washed over me and I could feel your emotions...

'No one knows complete, heartbreaking loneliness

Until their hearts turn to cold, hard ice, just to be free of pain
Until they manage to completely numb their emotions
So that they can not be sad, but they can not be happy'

^ this stanza really stood out to me, the emotions, the simplicity of the words.. It was all so powerful and mind gripping.

'She wants some one to help her feel again, to help her live
But no one is there, no one is coming, no one will ever help her
And no one is listening to the little girl lost in a cold, cruel world'

^ This was and excellent conclusion, devastating in the reality. However to that 'Lost Little Girl in A Cold Cruel World'
Sometimes it seems all hope is lost.. that no one cares and no one will save you. That your case is lost and someone should just kill you now and save you the pain of a long slow death... But, their is always someone that cares... the affection just isn't always in plain sight. Often when people feel alone, really they are surrounded by friends just standing on the sideline waiting to pull you out...And That lost girl, is really only lost to herself... there is someone that knows your path and is just waiting to pick you up when you stumble, or turn you around when you take a wrong turn.. Someone will always be their to guide you.

This piece was mind blowing, in the sense of how much you have improved in your writting.
    Excellent Write Hun.
